These headphones is pretty Sizable. They are designed for Studio use and so are in no way portable. They are made from mostly plastic, but still look great and actually feel solid at the same time.   The ear-cups are connected to the head-band via double sets of hinges allowing you to rotate them to 180 degrees so it is easy to have only one ear-cup on, this makes it very handy to DJs

The head-band by itself is enclosed in leather with extra padding included in the underside for maximum comfort when using the ATH-M50 . The head-band is very flexible and can be bent, but at the same time give the user a firm comfortable fit when wearing it no mater your size of head. “These headphones are the deal of the century

I had these can’s paired with my UDAC 2 DAC/Amp then connected to my computer and only can say WOW!!! I could have never you could get such great bass range at the same time maintained outstanding highs. I have used several other high end headphones including Grado SR80′s and a handful of Senn’s. These headphones hands down outperform all of them, all for $110. The only knock I have is that after prolonged use (3-4 hours) the top of the headphone will start to hurt your head. Why would anyone listen to headphones for 3-4 hours at a time, well these sound so good it’s hard to put them down.”
